Surfside Beach is “The Family Beach” just South of Myrtle Beach between bypass 17 and the Atlantic Ocean. First incorporated in 1964 the Surfside Beach Area had become a popular place to retire. Surfside Beach is roughly 2 miles of white sandy beaches and at the center lies the Surfside Beach Pier. Visitors may access the beach from 12 different public beach accesses available along Ocean Boulevard. There are only around 5,000 full-time residents in Surfside Beach. The curb appeal along the oceanfront is mostly beach houses that are used for second homes or vacation rentals.

Other attractions home to Surfside Beach are “Wild Water-N-Wheels Water Park, Legends in Concert, Bowling, and several Restaurants. Surfside Beach is roughly 10 miles from the airport and “Coastal Grand Mall”, and close to all area entertainment, golf courses and dining.
