Being that Little River is just a small fishing town, there is a lot of entertainment and excitement to this Northern South Carolina Coastal Community. Little River is the oldest town along the “Grand Strand” dating back to the late 1600s when Little River was a haven for the fisherman and farmer.

Today Little River is known for deep-sea fishing, charter boats and its gambling boats that dock at the end of Mineola Avenue. Every Mother’s Day weekend in May, Little River is home to “The Blue Crab Festival”, which entertains thousands of people. Little River is only a short drive from Myrtle Beach, and to the Southern tip of Little River is Cherry Grove Beach. Highway 31 and Highway 22 have made the travel to the Little River Area much easier than the traditional busy Highway 17 route. Interest in Little River Real Estate has steepened in recent years, as many are becoming familiar with this small fishing village of the past.

There is more to do than fish and gamble in Little River. You can rent boats at Coquina Harbor and enjoy the Intracoastal Waterway. There are several waterfront restaurants in Little River or visit the local vineyard. Of course there is golf in Little River as well as the rest of the “Grand Strand”. Some of the courses that are offered are River Hills, Harbour View, Eagle Nest, Heather Glen, Cypress Bay and Glen Dornoch. As you can see, there is a lot to do in Little River without having to travel to the heart of Myrtle Beach.
